today

Winter I am so over you. I know I say that every year. This year I was reminded that I say it every day;) What can I say I am a Summer Spring kind of girl. I crave for days like this...

And this...

I refuse to give into the Winter time Bahumbugs but I am over it. But being inside with my kiddos day after day does help me think more:) This morning I was thinking about my body. I am at least 5-10 pounds heavier than I want to be. I just want to look good in a swimsuit. Since we live in the Water I want to feel good about it. But then I was reminded of this verse..
Your adornment must not be merely external--braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses;but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. 1 Peter 3:3-4

I think God was trying to tell me no matter what I look like on the outside it is not important it is what is on the inside. So OK I buy that... I think that is another reason why I miss Running. That is some of my best times with Jesus. I blast Hillsong or Chris Tomlin and with each pound my hit makes the ground it makes me feel more "in tune" with God.

While it is too cold to run outside for me anyway... I am going to try to use the time I use for running to get more in the word. It is hard with 4 little ones but I always feel better after wards.

American Idol

So American Idol has  been Jason and I's favorite show to watch together. Well besides How I met your Mother. We don't agree on many shows - but this is the one thing we always sit down and watch and we LOVE it. But I have to admit I wasn't too excited about this season - in fact I didn't even know if I'd watch. I really turned up my nose at the idea of Steven Tyler and J-Lo as the judges.

But  I am really liking it. I love J lo. She adds a nice feminine touch. She knows about Music and is sweet. She is a good match. I do not miss Paula as much as i thought I would. Steven Tyler is a nut but I am liking him more and more.

Last night it was in Austin. My Hometown. I loved it. My favorite was John Wayne. Yes John Wayne his Parents said they wanted a strong Son so they named him that. He reminds me of a Young Bradley Cooper.

Marriage

Jason and I have been married for ten years. In that time we have had MANY more up then downs. For the past two weeks Jason was laid off. I am not going to lie I was afraid. Afraid that he would not go back to work afraid that he would be depressed that he was not working and we would argue. But instead we had a WONDERFUL two weeks. He kept busy remodeling our bathroom. I am so happy with the way it turned out. Just when I thought I could not love him any more I do. I found it extremely attractive that he could just remodel a bathroom with little ease. I love him so much.

I saw this video on line today and loved it. I think it is so true.

Isaiah James Deprez

Please welcome Isaiah James into the world. 2:28am. 8lbs. 15oz. Our incredible birthmom was in labor for 37 hours before they ended up doing an emergency C-section. Her and her entire family have been nothing short of amazing to us. Feel very blessed this morning.
This was on my friends Megan Facebook page today. AHHH I am still crying. God has blessed them so much.

When Jason and I decided that we wanted to add another Baby to the Blanchard craziness Matt and Megan were also deciding that they wanted a baby. After trying for a year they decided that God wanted them to adopt. I feel like I have been going through this process with them:) We even took their adoption pictures for their profile. I cried on the phone when Matt and Megan called and said they were chosen. 2 weeks later Isaiah James entered the world. I think he is sooo beautiful I love him so much and I have not even met him yet. I can not wait to see what God is going to do with the rest of his life. PRAISE GOD! I am planning a Baby shower for this handsome little guy and can hardly hold my excitement. It has always been Megan's dream to have a baby and now her dream has come true!!!!!!!!

New friends..

A couple of weeks ago after Church we went to our favorite place Qdoba. We went to the one by our house but it looked busy so we kept going. We went to one a little further away. While waiting in line I noticed a beautiful Woman holding a baby. After I was standing there a while I also noticed that her baby shared the special magical chromosone Jana has. She was so beautiful. When I walked past the couple I told her what a beautiful baby she had. It is still amazing to me how when you meet someone that has a child that has a magical chromosone you feel instantly bonded. We sat down and talked for an hour.
Thankfully we live in the day and age of Facebook. When I got home I found her and we sent messages back and forth. We invited them over for dinner Friday night. They have a BEAUTFUL family. A little Boy that reminds me of Seth and A darling daughter 3 year old that stole my heart. I think she likes me a little too. I was so excited to hold their precios baby. We talked shared our hearts. I can not wait to see what God has in store for us. Who would have that a meeting at Qdoba would turn into a beautiful thing.

The night also had some excitement. Some how the keys to their van went missing. We tore up our whole house looking for them. I was cringing inside when they saw all my dust and mess but inside God was telling me "Suzanne do you really think dust matters" Haven't I taught you anything about the "Big" picture. It matters what is on the inside not the outside. I did spend the next three days cleaning. See I feel like I have no control over my life. I feel like cleaning is the only thing I can control. I have been working on my little "issue" hence the cob webs and misplaced toys. I think God was trying to teach me a lesson about "pride". I hope I learned it this time. My house does not matter. Friends and Family do. Cobwebs and dirt can wait but kids can't.

Reflecting

Heavenly Father, Thank you for sending Your Son Jesus to earth. We not only celebrate His birth in the manger, but also the reason for His coming -- His death on the cross. We thank You for providing eternal life for each person who will accept His free gift of salvation.

Refeclting on the past couple of weeks. Jason and I have really been thinking about what Christmas means to us and what we want to teach our Children. We decided that we really wanted to scale back and teach them more about giving. Cole's School helped. We made "Breakfast Bundles" for kids that can not afford Breakfast on the weekend. The School sends them home with a Bundle so they have something healthy to eat until School again on Monday. Great Program. The kids did chores around the house to raise money for the Room Mom's to buy the supplies. Cole could not belive that some kids go to bed hungry every night. He was so happy to be apart of something that helps children.

Jason also was a part of bringing groceries and gifts to a Family in need. It was like being Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. So cool.

We gave the kids 3 small presents. We talked about the Wise men and their gifts they gave baby Jesus. Cole even read the Christmas Story Sunday night at Dinner.

We are blessed our Children are blessed. They got a lot of presents from their Grandparents. But For the first time at Christmas I am seeing a different side of thankfulness from them. I think they are realizing what CHRISTmas is really about. Not just getting toys.

My Favorite Christmas present.... Something money can not buy. Jana walking. If I could make a Discover card Comercial I would show her walking and say PRICELESS..

Christmas

I love Christmas. I love everything about it. The Movies in Jammie's, lights, trees, Baking. I think Baking and Christmas lights are my favorite.

Seth made his own cookies this week. I just put them in Oven. He literally did everything. I am so proud of him.

I made Peanut butter Fudge, Fudge, Peanut Butter Balls, Pepper mint cookies, Carrot Cookies. Gingersnaps and Peanut Butter cookies. I am going to have to run all Spring to get all the calories I have put on.

We also made a Gingerbread house
All of the kids got involved:)

Jana is getting better and better with her steps. Love that girl.
