Last night we had a wonderful time at Mike and Quincy's. She was truly the hostess with mostess. Pulling out all the stops to ensure we all had wonderful time. Down to every detail.

I exceptionally loved the glasses she made with our names etched on them with chalk. We had a wonderful dinner of Steak, cheesy potatoes, green bean casserole. Rolls and Kendra’s Famous cherry salad. It was a like heaven on your plate.

After dinner we feasted on wonderful desserts. Wendy made chocolate covered strawberries and a wonderful Angel food cake with pineapple. Tami made her famous Chocolate chip cheesecake that was to die. for.

We had a great time laughing around the table. College talk made the night interesting. I am sure we will be laughing about some of the dinner conversation and a certain person’s mailbox and special present for a while.

We watched the Broncos and Patriots play. There was some rooting for Tom Brady but it seemed that Tim Tebow has most of our hearts.

We also watched the Miss America Pageant. It was fun looking at all the costumes. John thought Tami would look wonderful in a little leopard print number;)

SO thankful for good girlfriends and their Husbands.

Dill Veggie Dip
2/3 cups of Hellmann's Mayo
2/3 cups of Sour Cream
1 T. Parsley
1 tsp. dill weed
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 drops Tabasco sauce
1/2 tsp. Accent
1 tsp. of Lawry season salt.

The Boys had a great first week of School. They LOVE their Teachers.


Jana's first day started out rough... she was placed in a class that frankly scared me. The other children in her class were older and had a lot of needs that would need a lot of attention from the Teacher. I was crushed.. I really wanted her to be in a class with other peers that were her age and that she could learn from. After staying a wake all night praying God answered our prayers. She was placed in a wonderful classroom with Mrs. Leah as her Teacher. WE LOVE her already. Here are a couple of pictures from the first week.

I begin this entry with a need of hope. I know who to turn to when I need hope. I know who to lean on. But sometimes I let worry get the best of me. I read something today that said "Worrying is like a rocking chair it gives you something to do but doesn't get you anywhere.


I am apprehensive about the kids going back to School. I am sure they will do great and love their Teachers. Getting there is what I am concerned about. The Boys start School at 8:28 Jana starts at 8:23 Not sure how I am going to get them all there but I will do it. The only plus is that I will have Lanie by herself for 3 hours a day. I am so nervous for Jana. I am sure she will do great though. I just need to remind myself that she is not mine.. She is on loan to me from God and he is protecting her.

Sorry Blog I just have not had time for you lately. Between Husband, kids, house, pinterest there is not much time left:) Here are so new pics of the kiddies.

Have you heard of pinterest.com? I urge you to not look it up unless you want to spend countless hours makes delightful recipes and crafts with your children.
Here are some of the things we have made this week. I got this from http://girlmeetslife.com/2010/12/cake-batter-blondies/

• 1 box yellow cake mix
• 1/4 cup canola oil
• 1 egg
• 1/3 – 1/2 cup milk
• 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles
• 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

directions: Combine the first four ingredients in a large bowl. Add the milk slowly – you want the batter to remain as dense as possible. Then mix in the rainbow sprinkles and white chocolate chips. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. I made them in a 8x8 brownie pan and cooked them for 24 mins. Yummo

Today I took the Boys to under the pines. We got some great Summer squash and Raspberries. So of course I had to make these:)

Then the Boys and got out the craft paint and made these...
