Where has time gone? Jana is two months old already:) She weighs 8.13 oz. She is 20.5 inches long. She loves two smile. She also is beginning to talk to us. It is so cute when she makes her baby noises. She amazes us every day. She is already rolling over from front to back. She loves laying in her crib watching her mobile. We just introduced her to the boppy today. She loved it. She loves looking up at the toys. Jana also does not mind tummy time when she is laying on it. Seth decided that he was going to be a baby this morning and we looked over to find him laying on it moving his head up and down. It was funny.
If I had to describe Seth I would say Full of life. From the moment he was born he has been moving, rocking and shaking up our house:) He is always making us smile. He loves to describe things and talk with his eyes. His favorite food these days is Rice Crispy treats and Corn Dogs. He adds a "y" to a lot of his words. For instance if you say I love you. He will say I love you "morey". If he wants his cousin Luke he will say "Lukey". A couple of Sundays on the way to Church Seth said" Mom God protects us when we are fraid?" I said" yes he does" . Do you want to pray to Jesus?" He said "Dear Jesus Word God please help be good protect me from the Lions, help me be good at the lake. And Dear God Please do not let me poop in my pants!" Amen:)
Today I have a 6 yr old. I know people say the time goes by fast but it seems like it was just yesterday I was in the hospital in Labor. He is such a boy now. As much as he challenges me day to day with his actions he challenges me to be a better Mom. Like for instance last week when I asked him why he was being naughty and he said because you forgot to do devotions with me last night. Wow I thought out of the mouth of babes. He knows already how to make his walk with God a better one. Last night he wrapped his arms around my neck and said " Mom I am glad God gave me to you." I am glad you are my Mom you are the best Mom in the whole world." I of course kissed his head and swelled with tears and joy. As much as our kids frustrate us when they are little we have to remember that time goes by in a flash and we will long for those days when we were the center of the universe. Someday they will think we are dorks and do not know anything. I am so excited to see Cole grow up into a Man of God. He amazes me on a daily basis on his biblical knowlege already. HE makes me want to study scrpiture and learn more about God. For now I am going to cherish each day that he thinks I am wonderful and teaches me something new.
